Hangers
  Hangers are used to support multiple screw sections in conveyors that are longer than standard. If hangers were not used in longer length conveyors, the screws deflection would be so great that the screw would sag, rub on the bottom of the trough during operation, and cause premature wear on the flighting and the trough.
