	There are basically two types of conveyor screws; helicoid and sectional. Helicoid flighting is stocked in certain thicknesses in mild steel and in Type 304 stainless steel. This flighting can be rolled up through 18” diameter and can be rolled in full, two-thirds, or half pitch. When special pipe sizes, diameters, and/or pitches are required, sectional flights are used. Sectional flights are cut from a wide variety of plate thicknesses as well as a wide range of steels and alloys. After the flights have been torched they are pressed out to the desired pitch. Both helicoid and sectional flights can be right hand or left hand. Many helicoid screws are in stock now, however, sectional screws are made to order. After all welding has been completed, the final step on any screw is checking for straightness. Whether a screw is for stock or for a special assembled conveyor, each screw is indicated to ensure that it runs true and straight. The screws are then painted with our standard gray enamel primer, although special finishes are available upon request
